UV Exposure Assessment – Onsite Measurement & Compliance Survey

UK employers must assess and measure UV exposure to ensure workers are not exposed above statutory exposure limit values (ELVs).

Our onsite assessment service measures actual UV irradiance and personal exposure at each work position, compares results against ELVs, evaluates control measures, and provides a detailed compliance report with recommendations.

Essential for CAOR 2010 compliance, audit preparation and demonstrating duty of care. Covers all UV wavelengths (UV-A, UV-B, UV-C) and all equipment types.

The Regulations require employers to:

• Reduce exposure as low as reasonably practicable.
• Assess personal exposure levels and compare with statutory ELVs.
• Provide specific information and training to employees.

Measurement and assessment survey and report

• Assess of existing technical and administrative controls.
• Measure personal UV light exposure at all positions where personal exposure could occur.

Following the visit, a report will be issued, which includes:

• Executive summary covering the key findings.
• Statement of compliance or non-compliance with each aspect of the Regulations.
• Comparison of actual personal exposure with the statutory exposure limit values.
• Recommendations to further reduce the risk of personal exposure.
